Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy helps us explore the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives. Sometimes difficult experiences, relationships, or challenges can shape how we see ourselves in ways that feel limiting or painful. Together, we will examine these stories with curiosity and compassion, identifying strengths, values, and alternative perspectives that may have been overlooked. This approach can help you reconnect with your sense of agency and create a more empowering narrative for your future.

Parts Work/IFS

Parts Work, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), is based on the understanding that we all have different parts within us that serve important roles. Some parts may protect us from pain, while others may carry the impact of past experiences or wounds. Through a compassionate and non-judgmental process, we explore these parts to better understand their intentions and needs. This approach can help foster greater self-awareness, inner harmony, and healing by strengthening connection with your core sense of self.

Psychodynamic Approach

Psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches explore how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may influence your current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we look beneath the surface to understand recurring themes, emotional reactions, and relationship dynamics that may be affecting your well-being. By gaining insight into these deeper patterns, clients often develop greater self-understanding, emotional freedom, and capacity for meaningful change.

CBT

CBT focuses on the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. At times, unhelpful thinking patterns can contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, self-doubt, or overwhelm. Using CBT, we work together to identify these patterns, understand their impact, and develop practical strategies for responding to challenges in healthier and more balanced ways. This approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and grounded in skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Existential Therapy

Existential Therapy invites us to explore questions of meaning, identity, purpose, and personal responsibility. Many people seek therapy during times of transition, uncertainty, loss, or when they feel disconnected from themselves or their values. This approach creates space to reflect on what matters most to you, how you wish to live, and how to navigate life's challenges with authenticity and intention. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, existential therapy supports a deeper exploration of what it means to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

DBT

DBT combines acceptance and change, helping individuals develop tools for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress more effectively. Drawing from mindfulness and behavioural strategies, DBT can help you build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and self-awareness. I often incorporate DBT techniques when clients are looking for practical ways to navigate difficult emotions while also cultivating self-compassion.
